What wasn't working
Indie founders rarely get useful product feedback — friends are too kind, strangers are too quiet, and existing communities reward noise over substance. There was no fair way to trade real critiques.
What we built
We built Shipworthy: a credit-based feedback marketplace where founders earn credits by reviewing others' products using structured templates, then spend credits to get the same quality of feedback on their own launches.
What changed
A self-sustaining community SaaS with built-in network effects — the more founders join, the more valuable each review becomes, and the harder the platform is to replicate.
Where it landed
- Replaced shallow social feedback with structured, template-driven critique
- Launched a credit economy that rewards quality reviewers and gates low-effort noise
- Engineered compounding network effects — each new founder makes the platform stronger
- Layered two revenue streams: SaaS membership and credit packs
- Built a defensible community asset competitors can't quickly replicate
